When I think back on my upbringing, the only things that come to me are safety and love. From the moment I was born, I was made aware of the fact that I was born into a family who adored me and only wanted the best for me.

Unfortunately, not all children are afforded the same level of protection. Some children grow up in shelters and adoptive homes, never knowing the delights of having a proper family to call their own. Others grow up in foster care.

Fortunately, three brothers from Sudbury, Massachusetts, will be aware of this fact this Christmas, having been adopted by KC and Lena Currie and raised by them.

In celebration of National Adoption Day on November 23rd this year – which happened to be Joey, 3, Logan, 2, and Noah, 1, who are biological brothers – the family moved into their new permanent home.

Joey was legally adopted by KC and Lena one year ago, marking the beginning of their journey as adoptive parents (who were two).

According to Good Morning America, KC and Lena first came across Joey during an event held by Children’s Friend in New York City.

The adoption procedure consists of the following steps

As Lena noted, “We saw a picture of Joey, and Children’s Friend mentioned that [it] would be an excellent match.” “He was just 18 months old,” says the author.

In March, they were successful in their adoption of Joey. But that was only the beginning of the story.

The Curries received a phone call from Children’s Friend shortly after, informing them that Joey had a 6-week-old brother, Noah, who also needed a home to call his own.

KC and Lena didn’t waste any time saying yes, only to discover that there was a third sibling, Logan, whose adoption into another family had fallen through due to financial difficulties. The Curries interpreted this as a sign that someone was attempting to communicate with them.

Logan joined his brothers in their home less than a month after they welcomed Noah into their home.

“It was just a gut feeling,” KC admitted to GMA. It seemed inevitable that we would say yes because keeping the boys together was essential to us. When they’re older and have questions, they’ll have each other to lean on and share the experience of going through it together.”

KC and Lena have accepted responsibility for three children under the age of four is no small feat. Still, they are commended for their courage and determination in raising these children.

Because of this, Joey, Logan, and Noah will be able to grow up together as a family and benefit from the enormous blessing of being raised in a loving home.

Lena says, “It’s the first year and the first holiday where everything is permanent and true.”

“Now we can start fantasizing about grade school, athletics, and other exciting stuff,” KC continued.
