After his death, Blake Shelton wrote a heartfelt ode to his friend Joe Bonsall.

Joe sang gospel and country music with The Oak Ridge Boys from 1973 till 2024.

On Tuesday, Blake, 48, shared a picture of himself live on stage with The Oak Ridge Boys.

The precise location and time of the photo’s capture are unknown.

He posted on Instagram Stories, saying, “I am devastated to learn about my friend Joe Bonsall’s passing.”

Joe always has a sincere smile on his face when I see him.

Blake continued, “He was the biggest singer I have ever encountered.”

Along with his brothers at @theoakridgeboys, I am praying for him and his family. Today, we are all grieving the loss of a significant person.

In 2016, the song “Doing It to Country Songs” was released by Blake and The Oak Ridge Boys.
