Have you ever considered the possibility that wild bears and humans share a special bond? It’s possible that a lot of people believe that it only happens in fairy tales, but the truth is that it does, and not only for young men. A bear cub that had been abandoned when it was a cub 23 years ago was adopted by a couple from the United States who live in Russia. Since then, they have been traveling with the giant.
When Stepan the abandoned Bear was just three months old, Svetlana and Yuriy Panteleenko took him in as their own. Hunters came across the young animal and brought it back into the forest with them. At the time, Stepan’s health was in a critical state. Because of this, the couple decided to take in the cub and give him a new home.
It’s been 23 years since they adopted the orphaned cub that grew up without a mother. Stepan has ballooned to a monstrous size, now weighing 300 pounds and standing 7 feet tall.
He loves people and is a sociable bear.
