Kelly Clarkson sang her hit song “Heartbeat Song” live, and it was even more special because her son, Remington “Remy” Alexander, and daughter, River Rose, 9, joined her on stage. This occurred while the family was singing the well-known synth-pop song together at her performance at the Bakkt Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada.

River Rose’s favorite song is “Heartbeat Song,” so she joined her mother in singing along. This song was Clarkson’s choice for them to perform live. Remy appeared to be completely at ease on stage and unaffected by the large number of spectators. Watch the video below to witness this precious family time!

This song has been a childhood favorite of River Rose’s! She really adores it, so much so that when Clarkson asked the crowd which song they would like to hear River Rose sing live, she got really excited and said, “Please let me sing this song.” Additionally, River Rose chose her own attire, and Clarkson reported that the young performer “absolutely nailed it” during soundcheck when she got to do a live show.

Supporters expressed their admiration for the mother-daughter performance together by posting remarks such as, “That is a moment she will always remember.” Everyone cried, “A star is born!” when she and her mother took the stage for the first time. Kelly gave River Rose the courage to sing her heart out. Kelly, you are truly admirable! River Rose was asked to sing again the following evening, and to make it even more memorable, her 7-year-old brother Remington Alexander joined in.

Kelly Clarkson and her manager, Brandon Blackstock, were wed and had two children together. In June 2014, their daughter River Rose was born, and in April 2016, their boy Remington Alexander was born. The couple tied the knot on October 20, 2013. But in March 2022, following a protracted court struggle, their divorce was finally finalized, garnering significant media coverage.

“Heartbeat Song” is the first single off Kelly Clarkson’s seventh album, Piece by Piece. It was so successful that it went platinum in the US and became her biggest hit of the previous ten years. The song peaked at number one on the US Dance Club Songs chart and performed well on numerous other international charts, peaking at number 10.

The songwriters Mitch Allan, Kara DioGuardi, Jason Evigan, and Audra Mae wrote the song “Heartbeat Song,” yet there was some debate over the song’s origins. Critics noted that the song’s melody and chords bore a striking resemblance to Jimmy Eat World’s 2001 hit alternative rock song, “The Middle.”

Clarkson clarified, “I merely performed the song; I did not create it,” in response to criticism. That portion escaped me, though. It appeared as though nobody was working behind the scenes. Jimmy Eat World said something extremely cool when he remarked, “Hey, no harm, no foul.” The number of chords available is limited. Jimmy Eat World chose not to press the action, despite the fact that it appeared they would prevail in court, and they are still not credited as co-writers of the song “Heartbeat Song.”
