A miracle came about at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, D.C. At the same time, Calaya gave birth to her very first baby.

Furthermore, the young gorilla had had lot of problems while conceiving. That’s why she couldn’t help showing her affection when she finally had her son in her hands.
The lovely event occurred at the Smithsonian National Zoo, Washington DC, United States. This is the first western lowland gorilla born to the National Zoo in nine years, finally, they welcomed Moke. It turned into all thanks to the efforts of biologists, veterinarians, and caregivers, who did everything viable for Calaya to get pregnant.
Of course, they also cared incredibly for her during her pregnancy so that the little gorilla became born strong and healthy. Moke’s male gender was confirmed on Monday, Moke’s parents knew about these problems because when they saw her first baby boy, they started to hug and kiss him like a human mother.

Apparently, it was love, while Calaya gave a great lesson for humans because she proved that she isn’t always without feelings. After all, she is an animal. On the contrary, she can experience maternal love or even affection for beings of other species, including humans.
Now, Moke, whose call approaches “little” within the Lingala language, could be very satisfied with his mother and father, who will undoubtedly care for him like his treasure.
